Timeline of Historical Events:
1927: The National Conference of Christians and Jews (NCCJ) was founded.
1954: The NCCJ San Antonio Chapter (NCCJ SA) was formed.
1987: NCCJ SA participated in Camp Anytown, a weeklong summer youth leadership camp.
1992: NCCJ SA hosted and facilitated the organizations first Camp Anytown, a weeklong summer youth leadership camp.
1993: NCCJ SA created various one day programs which were presented and performed in collaboration with regional school districts at numerous Elementary, Middle, and High Schools.
1999: The National Conference of Christians and Jews (NCCJ) filed a formal name change and became The National Conference for Community and Justice.
2005: NCCJ SA filed Certificate of Incorporation documents with the Secretary of the State of Texas Office and became NCCJ of San Antonio, Inc.
2006: NCCJ of San Antonio, Inc. filed an Amendment with the Secretary of the State of Texas Office and officially became the United Communities of San Antonio, Inc. (UCSA).
2018: As a UCSA first, the majority of the Board of Directors was comprised of former youth program or camp participants and the focus was to broaden the UCSA mission statement to meet the evolving needs of the San Antonio Region.
2019: UCSA officially incorporated all historical services provided, in conjunction with newer services created, into an expanded portfolio of services to better serve the San Antonio region.
2020: UCSA filed an Amendment with the Secretary of the State of Texas Office and officially became the Human Relations Initiative, Inc.
