United Communities of San Antonio, Inc. (2020)

Human Relations Initiative, Inc (2020-Present)

PERSONAL

I decided the most powerful impact I could have, outside of a formal social justice organization, was to work with students living in poverty to help them find their way out of a very powerful cycle. My work with my students has never been only academic. We tackle more social and emotional learning and development than academic content and my students know that what is most important in my eyes is that they leave our time together with the self-confidence and tenacity to present the best version of themselves always and to be an advocate for themselves and others.

WHY I SERVE

I am honored to be a part of an organization that is willing to do the hard work to truly raise awareness and bring about social change in order to improve our community and country for all Americans.
